New Painting, "Compassion"

I finished this painting last week. It was another exploration into the essence of the human experience.

This is my vision of human compassion. This is my second painting in this series.

Compassion is the virtue of empathy for the suffering of others. It is regarded as a fundamental part of human love, and a cornerstone of greater social interconnection and humanism.

Websters University College Dictionary:

Compassion: feeling a deep sympathy and sorrow for someone struck by misfortune, accompanied by a desire to alleviate the suffering; mercy.

My definition:

A burning flame in your heart that consumes the pain of loved ones. Love, empathy and understanding.
